Scaffolding Services, Temp Roofs & Engineered Access Solutions
With every scaffold requirement being so unique it is necessary for us to gather a few details about your particular requirement before we can come up with a figure.
However we are confident that with scaffold having come such a long way in the past 50 years and Camelspace using only the world’s most advanced system (Layher), you will be pleasantly surprised by how cost effective scaffolding is as an access solution when compared with alternatives.
Layher material requires fewer components for a square metre (face metre) of scaffold than traditional tube and clip scaffold. It also requires a third less labour to erect and dismantle than tube and clip making it cheaper for us to supply and less disruptive to your application. It’s safer, more versatile and once erected, delivers a far better aesthetic end result; increasingly important in a marketplace with evermore discerning clients looking to reduce the visual pollution impact on their building or at their event.
We have some of the most experienced and qualified people in the industry which along with the product we’re using allows us to provide a better service at a lower price than our competitors.
We can sometimes accurately ascertain you scaffold requirements over the phone or by email allowing us to furnish a quotation. Other times we need to carry out a free site visit.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us even if you’re unsure of your requirements as we can help on a no cost, no obligation basis.
We price smaller work across the greater Auckland area and larger projects nationwide.
The best thing to do is contact us by whatever means best suits you and we can take it from there!
Events: Stages, Hospitality Platforms, TV & PA Towers, Setaing etc.
Small community sized events to the likes of the Rolling Stones can all be accommodated by Camelspace.
With every event or access requirement being so different, it is necessary for us to gather a few details about your particular requirement before we can come up with a figure. Typically we need to know:
- where the event is (city and venue);
- what you want: roof, seating, stage (with or without roof), bridge et cetera;
- how long you want it for;
- time and date you need it erected and dismantled;
- dimensions (height, width and length where applicable);
...so please contact us for a quote!
Stair Towers
Public-access event stair towers provide access where nothing else will; and our construction-site varieties are not only much safer than ladders, but increase productivity considerably with faster and unimpeded tool-laden-worker access to the highest of rises.
We can design and supply freestanding or attached Stair Towers on a 'material only' (dry-hire) basis or with a design, erect and dismantle 'full-service'.
With every Stair Tower requirement being so different, it is necessary for us to gather a few details about your particular requirement before we can come up with a figure.
Please have a look at some examples of the various stair options available and contact us with your requirements for a quote.
Public Access: Ramps, Bridges, Walkways etc.
The quality of Camelspace's public access structures is unrivalled. Structures commonly incorporate:
- childproof guardrails;
- a non-slip 'high heel friendly' flooring layer;
- integral street lighting;
- signage and disability code stair treads/risers;
...most members of the public do not even realise they are walking on a temporary structure!
Take a look at some examples here.
With the inevitable variance in every one of these types of job, we need to get a few details off you in order to prepare a quote.
Please contact us with your requirements.
Edge Protection
Camelspace stock (for hire and sale) the only systemised commercial edge protection product available in New Zealand; the steel mesh barrier (SMB) system by Combisafe. We are in fact the New Zealand distributor for all Combisafe’s products.
Not only is it the safest, offering full debris containment and integral toe-board, but the SMB system is by far the most cost effective solution for commercial edge protection over the protection lifecycle:
- SPEED: installs quicker than improvised tube & clip scaffold handrails reducing your labour bill
- COST SAVINGS: doesn’t require ticketed scaffolders to install (users/owners can install) further reducing labour bills: - truly systemised, not ad hoc
- SAFETY: supplied with user manuals; unique QA batch numbers; and impact loading data
- VERSATILITY: can fit in any size space; void; around corners; inside the building or out: - all without cutting, extra fabrication or modification
- UTILISATION/ROI: with only a few different components, once removed it can be stored and reused on the next job or next floor/rise
- COMPREHENSIVE/FLEXIBLE: product range includes various fixings and clamps to allow fast installation to any surface (steel 'I' beams, parapets, slabs etc.)

Scaffold Dry-Hire
Camelspace offers the latest technology in scaffolding on a dry-hire basis to scaffold and construction companies at wholesale rates.
These rental rates are structured such that a scaffold company can easily erect and on-hire our material to their clients without adjusting standard prices and still achieve an attractive margin.
We specialise in the supply of original Layher scaffolding; and although a superior product, some complain Layher can be more expensive to purchase than traditional scaffold. We feel this makes the Camelspace rental option a more attractive one - enabling you to commit your capital elsewhere.
Our dry-hire scaffold rental prices are calculated on a per component basis. For example, if you required 50 standards, 35 ledgers, 15 transoms and 60 decks (planks), you would be charged a per day rental on each of these 160 components.
You can return any or all of these at any time and stop paying rental on what's returned. Our invoices detail every component you have on rental, its daily cost and totals for the period being invoiced. Our quotes are laid out the same.
Layher material requires fewer components for a square metre (face metre) of scaffold than traditional tube and clip scaffold. This helps contribute to the success of the dry-hire option for both us and our clients. Layher scaffold also requires a third less labour to erect and dismantle than tube and clip further making it a better option for both parties.
We can help with scaffold design and quantities - so please contact us for a quote!
