(Small/Med Projects – Scaffolding), AKL
Mark works primarily on small to medium commercial projects and anything residential, both private and group company builds, leaky home and fire damage repair jobs and shrinkwrapped scaffolding solutions.
His remit includes business development as well as project planning. He finds new work for the business, often referrals and repeat clients, organises their jobs and manages relationships throughout the process. From the initial meeting, Mark works with the Auckland Branch Manager and Business Development Manager to provide quotes, conduct site measure-ups, and then checks-in regularly once the job gets underway to ensure everything is progressing per plan.
A qualified scaffolder himself, Mark has been in the industry for five years and occasionally jumps back on the tools if there’s a gap that needs filling on short notice. He spent several years as a machine operator in construction and mining in the South Island, driving massive earthworks machines, articulated dump trucks, loaders, diggers and bulldozers in the gold mines there.
With a love for everything mechanical, it’s no surprise Mark’s life outside work also involves machines. A ‘quiet adrenaline junkie’ and auto mechanic, he used to race motorcycles and sidecars and is now at the top level of the marine equivalent, racing jet skis across New Zealand and Australia.
