Jason Taimai

Senior Supervisor, AKL


Jason has been part of the Camelspace team for six years. As a Senior Supervisor for the Auckland branch, he works closely with the Operations Manager scoping job sites, measuring up, preparing and planning crews for each project. He is out hopping from site to site most of the time, making sure jobs are progressing as planned, health and safety protocols are being observed and managing any site-specific concerns or queries.

With over of 10 years’ experience, Jason started scaffolding with an Australian hoist and scaffold business in 2006, gained his Advanced Scaffolding Ticket in 2008, and continued in the industry with Transfield Services in Sydney. Prior to that he spent three years as a Terminal Operator at Marstel Terminals, a bulk storage operator for hazardous liquids, providing ship-to-shore discharge services, devanning containers and refuelling ships. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years as Leading Hand in the timber industry.

Jason joined Camelspace after returning to New Zealand in 2011 to be closer to his family. Outside of work, he enjoys Waka Ama at the Manukau Outrigger Canoe Club and has a huge love of travelling, heading for new horizons at every opportunity.
